Officer Involved Shooting – Minn.
In Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis an officer involved shooting takes place, as a result of a struggle between a female officer and a black male. In the struggle, the male victim 20-year-old Daunte Wright, was fatally shot by the police officer. There was an arrest warrant for Wright. The officer accidentally pulls her weapon, when meaning to draw her taser, as shown on video capture.
The officer involved shooting jumpstarts activist activity. A BLM crowd carrying George Floyd and justice signs, began jumping on police cars after the shooting.
Community members are already calling for murder charges against the officer.
In multiple video captures from the Citizen Reporter, many liquor, phone and other stores are already being looted and destroyed in Minn. The destruction began once word of the officer-Wright involved incident hit the streets.
The tragic death of Wright in the officer involved shooting, could not have come at a worse time. As the trial of Derek Chauvin continues in the area, while activists and the public are preparing for that outcome.
Minnesota Commissioner of Public Safety says, National Guard troops will now be deployed in order to deal with “further civil unrest” over the police killing of Daunte Wright, and the ongoing Derek Chauvin trial, due to high tensions in the Minneapolis area.
The Twins-Red Sox game will be postponed due to potential “safety concerns and rioting in the area”
Biden calls for “a full-blown investigation” into the officer involved shooting. The officer accidentally killed Daunte Wright, by firing her weapon instead of her taser.
The Washington Post, twists terror claims with an infographic. The post says that “far-right” and white supremacists are surging in responsibility for domestic terrorism incidents. The WP uses a report by the CSIS. However, the CSIS report excluded the Black Lives Matter riots, citing those rioters were “apolitical”, a key point not mentioned in the posts.
